This year we are offering our house as a bed and breakfast and are advertised on Air BnB. Experience a true Vancouver Island holiday on our sustainable farm. It is a real Canadian country home – with cathedral ceilings, 5 sets of French doors, wrap around deck, huge river rock fireplace, large open gourmet kitchen, 3 bedrooms, two baths, soaker tub off of the master bedroom. The home has mountain and island views and is very rural and private. You can sit on the deck and watch Canada geese, trumpeter swans, bald eagles, red tail hawks, and turkey vultures fly across our fields. We enjoy a mild coastal marine influenced climate (not too hot in summers and rarely below freezing in winter).
Cowichan Bay on Vancouver Island is a 15 minute walk away and is a funky little seaside village with a great bakery, good restaurants, grocery and liquor store, kayak rentals, boat charters, whale watching tours and lots of seasonal arts and music festivals. There are a dozen vineyards nearby plus fabulous hiking trails for every skill level. The nearest town is Duncan which has the largest year round outdoor farmers market in British Columbia. Victoria the provinces capital is 50 minutes away. We're also close to Vancouver, Whistler, Seattle, and the Gulf Islands, and communities on Vancouver Island such as Campbell River and Tofino, which are famous for whale-watching, salmon fishing, and surfing. |
